S. Ramani Pillai

Ramani has served as trial counsel in a vast array of cases, including wrongful death actions, serious personal injury claims, Workers’ Compensation appeals, and real property disputes. His litigation practice is primarily in Allegany County, Washington County and Garrett County, Maryland as well as Mineral County, Hampshire County, and Monongalia County, West Virginia.

Ramani has successfully resolved wrongful death, slip and fall, motor tort, premises liability, and hospital negligence cases for extremely favorable amounts.

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from Washington and Jefferson College and he earned his Law Degree from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

Prior to moving back to Cumberland, Maryland, he worked in the healthcare field in Northern Virginia representing hospitals in third-party reimbursement disputes. Ramani then worked as an Assistant Prosecutor for the Harrison County West Virginia’s Prosecutor’s Office, where he first gained his jury trial experience.
